After receiving her Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders from Cal State University, Fullerton, Kelly began her career working in the public school system, which eventually paved the way for her to start her own company. The creation of this company helped Kelly fulfill her desire to help individuals with disabilities and help therapists enjoy professional growth. Her experience in early intervention, autism, receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, parent training and CFY supervision allowed Kelly to establish Speech and Language Professional Services (SLPS) with co-founder and husband, Keith Thomas. 

Kelly is now the President and Clinical Manager of SLPS and is a certified member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and the California Speech and Hearing Association. Kelly is a lifelong resident of Southern California and has lived in Orange County for thirteen years. She is married and has two lovely daughters.

Keith Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Speech and Language Professional Services. Keith is responsible for the day-to-day operations of SLPS and oversees the strategic development and execution of the company’s corporate plans, operation, and improvement of systems and technology. Prior to starting and developing the SLPS business model, Keith served as the Vice President of a leading corporation in the area of distribution and maintenance of advanced technology hearing instruments used in educational settings. Keith was responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day operations, strategic development, and technology implementation. 

Keith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and can be found enjoying his spare time with family and friends.

As the Office Manager for Speech and Language Professional Services, Alana Scott handles the day-to-day activities of the SLPS office. Alana regularly coordinates SLPS’s human resource functions including oversight of employee payroll, benefits and communication with outside vendors. Prior to joining the SLPS team Alana performed inside sales and customer service for a distribution company that provided products to educational institutions. Alana also held the position of Plant Manager for a national cable company where she was responsible for daily operations, team management, and tactical planning. 

Alana enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and regularly attends yoga classes. She is also an active volunteer in the community supporting the causes of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
